21/10/2008 - Important Message: Please note that the National Engineering Week (NEW) was re-branded to National Engineering Month (NEM) in order to provide more flexibility for each Canadian province to choose a week to best suit its needs within the National Engineering Month. There is no change for the Ontario dates, the week we chose will start on February 28 and end on March 8, 2009.

Theme: We are excited to announce the theme for the 2009 National Engineering Month - Design the Future: Engineers create. They design structures so small you can’t even see them with your eyes, yet they also design huge structures like skyscrapers. They mix their creative skills with math, sciences and technology to come up with things that were once thought impossible. See how, with engineering, you can design an amazing future!

To obtain a copy (PDF/Microsoft Word), please visit Event Organizer Help section of our web site under Financial Assistance, where you will also find the Engineering Week Activity Funding Assistance Guidelines and a Sample Application form. The form can be submitted by mail or e-mail, contact information provided in the form. The deadline to submit the Funding Assistance Application Form is Friday, November 7, 2008.
